Characteristics: Self-twining, evergreen, climbing shrub with green foliage margined by creamy-white shades. Small white flowers will bloom in Summer, turning cream with age. Each flower also boasts a jasmine-like scent.
Growth and Spread: Ultimate height of 3m and spread of 2m.
Care and Maintenance: Trachelospermum prefers full sun or partial shade. It will tolerate most soil types that are kept moist, well-drained and watered so the soil is never dry to touch.
Period of Interest: Evergreen foliage provides year-round interest. Flowers will bloom throughout Summer.
Trachelospermum jasminoides Variegatum is an evergreen climbing shrub with variegated, bright green leaves and creamy-white margins. Star-shaped flowers will bloom throughout Summer, being white to start off with before turning cream as they age. This plant will also bring a stunning aroma to the garden as it produces a gorgeous, jasmine-like scent, adding great interest to any unsightly walls, fences, borders, pots or containers.
Not only will this hardy plant withstand tough weather conditions, it will also be hassle-free to care for.
