Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: The Thuja 'Pyramidalis Compacta' is an Evergreen, coniferous tree with a cone-like shape, as opposed to pyramidal. This Thuja thrives in exposure to sunlight and moist, acidic soil.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height is 3-4m and the ultimate spread is 1-1.2m.
Period of Interest: Year-round interest. It has pale green leaves and upward growing branches in all seasons, until wintertime when the foliage changes brown, and then to green.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in well-drained, moist soil. Keep in a warm, sheltered area under full sun. Due to their hardy structure, only water regularly.
A popular variety of garden shrubs, Conifers are generally known as bright and bushy plants. This is especially true for the Conifer ‘Pyramidalis Compacta’. Its cone-like shape gives it a uniqueness as it is not the expected pyramidal structure. It is suitable for small garden patios, borders, rockeries or containers. Due to their compact structure, the Thuja plant doesn’t require any pruning.
The soil that this should be planted in should be between Sandy and Clay Loam. It prefers a light range of sun to full sun and, in the younger development state, make sure to protect the shrub from strong and drying winds. Conifers require the occasional water, due to their hardy structure and they may also be attacked by scale insects and conifer aphids.
