Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Hardy, mat-forming evergreen succulent with rounded, rosette shapes of waxy, red-brown leaves
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.1 – 0.5m.s
Period of Interest: Year-round foliage interest. Waxy, fleshy deep red-brown leaves making up a large central rosette with smaller offshoots of similar shape but smaller size. Insignificant flowering.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun. Hardy and tolerant of most soil types and conditions. Drought resistant. Protect from waterlogging and excessive Winter wet.
Evergreen succulents forming tidy, rounded rosettes made up of colourful leaves and known commonly as ‘Hens & Chicks’, the Sempervivum ‘Chocolate Kiss’ from the Chick Charms® series is a lovely, compact and tough shrub growing in mat-forming, rounded rosette shapes consisting of waxy, red-brown leaves. These highly attractive plants are a great option for rockeries or container displays due to their colour and symmetric shapes, especially when paired with other varieties of sempervivum.
Plant in moderately fertile, well-drained soil and keep in full sun in a sheltered or exposed position. Tolerates most locations, conditions and soil types. Prefers gritty, free draining soil mixes. Highly drought resistant. Susceptible to Winter wet and waterlogged areas.
