Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Growth & Spread: Medium rate grower. Grows to heights of about 1.0 to 2.0 m and spreads of about 1.0 to 1.5 m.
Flourishing Season: During the winter season, small, white flowers appear on the undersides of the stalks and branches.
Characteristics: A bushy, evergreen shrub with wonderful smelling, wintertime flowers.
Water & Maintenance: Water until established, prefers well-drained soils. Low maintenance.
“Christmas Box” is a wonderful upright and bushy evergreen shrub which blooms during the winter. These highly fragrant white flowers will perfume the air. The flowers are followed by glossy, deep red to black coloured fruits. The flowers are interspersed throughout the plant on the underside of the stalks. Due these wonderful aromas, it is also known as the “Sweet Box” and attracts pollinators like bees and butterflies.
Thick, medium green leaves, approximately 4 cm in length, accompany the plant year-round.
One of the best qualities of this plant is that it produces wonderful scents in partial to full shade. You can really enjoy this plant and yet put it a darker, sheltered part of your garden. And it is hardy to most temperatures in the UK.
Overall, it is a low maintenance plant and can tolerate a variety of soil types. However, it does not like to be waterlogged or grown in overly wet areas. As such, make sure the soil is well-drained. Used as groundcover, this plant does well in flower beds and other border areas. It also works well in containers in patios or courtyard gardens in shaded areas.

Slow but Steady Grower
Have just purchased a second one of these plants as the first one I bought a couple of years ago has developed and grown into a good evergreen plant with the flowers and berries.
A great pot plant for the front of the house.
