Characteristics: Hardy variety of Salvia. Upright, evergreen sub-shrub with small leaves that bear a minty scent. The flowers are a lovely, deep purple-blue colour when they bloom.
Period of Interest: Evergreen foliage maintains year-round interest. Flowers will bloom from Summer into Autumn.
Growth and Spread: Ultimate height of 0.8m and spread of 0.5m.
Care and Maintenance: Place in full sunlight and moist, well-drained soil. It will tolerate most soil types, though, as long as it is watered when the soil is dry to touch.
Salvia Blue Note is part of the Salvia genus - the largest of plants in the mint family, Lamiaceae. This variety is one of nearly 1000 species, with wonderful colour and structure on show. It bears scented, mid-green leaves that are joined by deep purple-blue flowers in Summertime. The foliage is evergreen, meaning it will maintain year-round interest to enhance your borders, plant displays, pots or containers.
Commonly known as Sage, this plant will grow to an ultimate height of 0.8m and spread of 0.5m. It is also very easy to care for. Place it in full sunlight and moist, well-drained soil, although it will tolerate most soil types. In terms of watering, only do so when the soil is dry to touch, as it can withstand small periods of drought.
