Harvesting period: Rooster will harvest from September-November.
Planting advice: Plant in March, in a sheltered area in full sun, and in moist, well-drained soil. If you have grown potatoes previously, avoid growing them in the same spot if possible. They can also be grown in potato bags on a patio.
Care and maintenance: Ensure they receive as much sun as possible and avoid pockets of frost. Water regularly, keeping the soil moist throughout the growing period.

Perfect for mashing, roasting, boiling or frying, the fluffy texture and beautifully nutty flavour is always a winner. Their eye-catching, russet red skin is another reason why these potatoes are so popular.
They are best planted in late March, ready to harvest from September until November, in a sheltered, sunny spot in moist, well-drained soil. Plant the potatoes in rows, 45cm apart, in 10cm deep holes and ensure each row is 75cm apart. Mound the soil around the shoots when they reach 20cm and repeat again after another 3 weeks, keeping the soil moist at all times.
