Characteristics: Clump-forming perennial. Long, pink-red stems of Rhubarb will harvest from Spring to Autumn, with bright green foliage also growing throughout that period. Cream flowers will begin blooming in Summer, continuing through to Autumn.
Growth and Spread: Ultimate height of 0.6m and ultimate spread of 1.2m.
Period of Interest: Stems of Rhubarb and bright green foliage grow from Spring - Autumn. Cream flowers then appear from Summer into Autumn.
Water and Maintenance: Place the plant in bright, indirect sunlight. Moist, well-drained soil is preferred and water is required when the soil is dry to touch.
Our Rheum rhabarbarum Livingstone is a clump-forming perennial plant. Its vibrant, pink-red stems will begin to grow in Spring and continue through to Autumn. The tasty stalks of Rhubarb will be joined by bright green, wrinkled foliage in the same period, then cream flowers will bloom as the year progresses into Autumn. Rhubarb can be easily included in a variety of meals, including sauces, jams, pies and more.
They will grow to an ultimate height of 0.6m and ultimate spread of 1.2m. In terms of plant care, it should be placed in bright, indirect sunlight and planted in moist, well-drained soil. Watering becomes essential when the soil is dry to touch.
