Product description
Lavandula stoechas is an RHS 'Award of Garden Merit' winning shrub that brings year-round interest to your garden. This evergreen variety shows off its gorgeous purple flowers from Spring through to Summer, alongside fragrant, bright green foliage. Each flowerhead sits at the peak of upright stems, with 4 sterile bracts topping off this stunning, must-have plant. It will look great in pots, containers, borders and more, whilst also being a magnet for bees and butterflies.
The French Lavender plant is typically low maintenance. You should place it in an area of full sunlight, whilst making sure its soil is chalk, sand or loam-based. Allow soil to dry out between waterings. You should also look to cut the plant back after its peak bloom period to stimulate shorter and sturdier stems.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only - The plant will be supplied in a growers pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Lavender stoechas is distinctive because it flowers earlier than English lavender and can repeat-flower. To encourage a second flush of blooms later in the season, deadhead the spent flowers immediately after they fade, followed by a light trim in early autumn to keep the shape tidy.
How to Water
Water young Lavender stoechas plants moderately to help them settle in, but avoid keeping the soil wet. Once established, it is extremely drought-resistant and thrives in dry conditions; overwatering or soggy soil is the quickest way to kill this plant.
How to Plant
Plant Lavender stoechas in a warm, sunny spot with excellent drainage. Because it is tender and dislikes lime, it is often best grown in a terracotta pot using a gritty, loam-based compost (ericaceous mix is often beneficial), allowing you to move it into a greenhouse or sheltered porch during severe weather.
