Product description
Golden Oregano is a dual-purpose plant cultivated primarily for the vibrant, golden-yellow hue of its leaves, as well as its mild herbal flavour. This subtle taste, which is less intense than Greek oregano, is released when the leaves are chopped or dried. It is traditionally used as a bright ground cover to light up garden borders, though it can still be used to season tomato sauces and Mediterranean dishes.
This plant is typically grown as a hardy perennial that forms a low, spreading mound. It is robust and cold-tolerant, keeping its golden colour best in cooler weather. For the best results and to prevent leaf scorch, plant it in a location with full sun (in cooler climates) or partial shade (in very hot areas). It is drought-tolerant and thrives in well-drained soil, rotting quickly in damp, heavy earth.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only - The plant will be supplied in a growers pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

How to Water
Water Golden Oregano sparingly once established. It prefers the soil to be on the drier side and suffers if the ground remains wet.
How to Plant
Plant Golden Oregano in well-drained soil at the front of a border or in a rockery for a splash of permanent gold colour.
