Product description
Leaf Celery is a potent culinary herb cultivated almost exclusively for the concentrated, peppery savoury flavour found in its dark green, parsley-like leaves. This intense taste, which is significantly stronger and more aromatic than the watery crunch of standard stalk celery, is released powerfully when the foliage is chopped. It is traditionally used as a seasoning to add depth to soups, stews, and stocks, though the tender young leaves can also be used raw to add a spicy kick to salads.
This plant is typically grown as a hardy biennial that forms an upright, bushy rosette of foliage rather than thick, crisp stalks. It is robust and generally cold-tolerant, often standing well into winter if sheltered. For the best results and a continuous harvest, plant it in a location with partial shade or full sun. It is not drought-tolerant and thrives in rich, fertile soil that is kept consistently moist through regular watering.
Please Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only - The plant will be supplied in a growers pot.
Garden Plant Size Guide

Plants in larger pots can be multiple years older than their smaller counterparts with more mature root systems and foliage. This makes them able to thrive as a full size plant in your garden quicker than smaller alternatives.
The most common size of pot that garden plants come in are 9cm/1L/3L/5L this is in reference to the diameter at the top of the pot.
9cm potted plants still remain the most popular cost effective option though, they just may take a little patience to allow them to grow into full maturity once planted in your garden.

Top Tip
Celery Leaf looks almost identical to Flat Leaf Parsley. To tell them apart, simply rub a leaf between your fingers; the strong, unmistakable scent of celery will instantly identify it. It dries much better than stalk celery, making it perfect for preserving for winter soups.
How to Water
Celery Leaf originates from marshland plants, so it loves moisture. Keep the soil consistently damp and never allow it to dry out completely, or the leaves will become tough and bitter.
How to Plant
Plant Celery Leaf in moisture-retentive, fertile soil. It is a "cut-and-come-again" plant, so if you harvest the outer stems regularly, the center will continue to produce fresh new growth throughout the season.
