Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: A compact, deciduous shrub with medium-green pinnate leaves and broad, creamy white, saucer-shaped flowers.
Growth & Spread: A moderate rate grower. Heights approximately 0.5 m and spreads around 1.0 to 1.2 m.
Flourishing Season: Cinquefoil or 5-petalled flowers appear during a long blooming season starting in late spring, around June, through autumn, around September or October.
Water & Maintenance: Water until established. Avoid over-watering, but prefers moist and well-drained soils. Generally, a low maintenance plant.
“Tilford Cream” is a compact, deciduous shrub with a bushy growth habit. It has small, medium to dark green, pinnate leaves.
Flowers are saucer shaped and the petals are a creamy white colour with central golden-orange coloured stamens. Each flower is approximately 3 to 4 cm in diameter. The large number of flowers and the long season of flowering help to attract bees and butterflies.
Although it enjoys the sun, it prefers partial shade. Full sun will diminish how long the individual flowers stay.
Remove dead or unwanted branches at the end of the season or at the onset of spring. Being deciduous, this plant will come back in the spring time as it is full hardy and can withstand most temperatures in Europe.
As it is a more compact shrub, it does well accenting hedging and screens. Additionally, it is a good coastal plant and provides colourful additions to flower beds and border plantings. This varietal works well in containers and due to its smaller to medium size, is good for planting at the front of borders and other beds.
