Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Does well in sun to partial shade, but an increased amount of light may diminish the vibrancy of the pink colour.
Growth & Spread: Slow grower - can take 5 to 10 years to reach maximum height. Similar dimensions in height and spread between 0.5 m to 1.0 m
Flourishing Season: Bears flowers from late spring until frost returns in autumn.
Water & Maintenance: Survives well in most water conditions and can tolerate drought conditions.
The “Pink Beauty” Potentilla is a gorgeous, decorative plant which contrasts its bright pink flowers with its blue-green leaves. It is a deciduous shrub which tends to grow into a spherical shape.
Once they are established, they need very little care or maintenance. They do prefer soils that are well-drained and should not be planted in areas near where water collects or forms after rain. They are also very good for low-water or rock garden installations.
It stands out as a landscape plant because of its delicate appearance, but contrasts that with its ability to survive and thrive along with other larger decorative yard plants. Also beneficial, is that while deer tend to stay away from the plant, butterflies do enjoy the many flowers it provides for nectar and shelter.
Once the flowers open in late spring/early summer, they last for several months until the frosts of autumn, allowing you to enjoy this wonderful landscaping beauty.
They also do a proper job being arranged in borders or accenting and accompanying hedge rows. Other added benefits that relate to their hardiness is that they do well in urban environments and are generally disease and pest free.
