Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: A compact, deciduous shrub with dark-green pinnate leaves and broad, saucer-shaped yellow-hued flowers appear until the first frost.
Growth & Spread: A moderate rate grower. Heights approximately from 0.6 to 1.25 m and spreads around 1.0 to 1.5 m.
Flourishing Season: 5-petalled honey-yellow flowers present during a long flowering season from spring, around May, through the autumn, around October.
Water & Maintenance: Water until established. Will need additional watering during hot or dry periods. Does best in moist and well-drained soils. Overall, a low maintenance plant.
“Katherine Dykes” is a bushy deciduous shrub with an upright growth habit. It has small, dark-green pinnate leaves. Each leaf is approximately 4 cm in length.
Flowers are saucer-shaped, and the petals are composed of a gentle canary-yellow colour. Each flower is approximately 2 to 3 cm in diameter.
Although it enjoys the shade, it can tolerate the sun. But, full sun will decrease the length of life for the individual flowers. The best combination for flowering includes partial sun with well-draining soils.
Remove dead or unwanted branches at the end of the season or at the onset of spring. This plant does well in most soil types, as long as the soil remains moist. Although it is deciduous, it is full hardy and can withstand most temperatures in Europe.
As it is a more compact shrub, it grows well in flower beds and as accents in shrub borders or in some space of a city garden in a container or sheltered, but partially sunny location.
