Polypodium vulgareb is an evergreen, hardy fern with a mat forming habit. Known as common polypody, this plant produces green, leathery, lance shaped fronds with spores on its underside. It is perfectly suited as ground cover or in a woodland area, however it will adapt to most positions.

Low maintenance plant that thrives in partial shade or full sun. Thrives in well-drained or drier soil, such as sand or chalk, but is tolerant of most soil types.
