• Characteristics: Deciduous shrub with chocolate brown foliage that also has a purple tinge. It blooms small pink/white flowers in the summer, followed by red berries in the autumn.
• Growth and Spread: Will reach an ultimate height and spread of 1 to 1.5 metres.
• Period of Interest: The foliage begins to grow in Spring and blooms the tiny flowers in summer, then berries in autumn. The foliage will die back in the winter.
• Plant Advice: Grows best in full sun or partial shade, in well drained, moist soil. The shrub is low maintenance and hardy.

This gorgeous deciduous shrub has chocolate brown foliage with a purple tinge. It blooms beautiful pinkish/white flowers in the summer followed by deep red berries in Autumn. This shrub grows perfectly in a small garden or in a container.

The shrub enjoys full sun or partial shade and grows best in moist, well drained soil.
