• Characteristics: Herbaceous perennial, clusters of flowers in a vibrant purple, narrow emerald green leaves, blooms from late spring through summer, hardy, low maintenance
• Growth and Spread: Ultimate height of 0.5m and spread of 0.4m
• Care and Maintenance: Phlox Ka-Pow® Lavender thrives best in full sun or partial shade. It prefers moist soil but it must be well drained and not waterlogged. Plant around 16 inches apart and cut back in autumn before the first frost.
• Period of Interest: Late spring and summer. Large clusters of lavender-coloured flowers bloom from June to August.

With its abundance of vibrant lavender flowers, Phlox Ka-Pow® Lavender is a striking perennial blooming from June to August. The large clusters of star shaped flowers are fragrant and attract bees, butterflies and other pollinators, while the narrow green leaves produce a robust look that is great for ground cover.

Phlox Ka-Pow® Lavender flourishes in most soil types and is equally suited to flower beds, borders and containers. It is a medium paced grower and will reach a height of up to 0.5m and spread of 0.4m in 2-5 years. The plant will retreat back below ground for the winter and re-emerge with fresh blossom in spring.

Commonly known as Garden Phlox, the plant grows in a uniform upright pattern and works best when planted in a sunny spot with good air circulation. This is a low maintenance plant that is frost resistant and relatively hardy.

Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.
