• Characteristics: Climber, great for trellises and hanging baskets, distinctive pink flowers that bloom prolifically throughout spring, summer and autumn, evergreen if moved to a warmer place in winter months, attracts butterflies and hummingbirds
• Plant advice: As this variety is barely hardy, it will require a sheltered location in your garden or, if kept in a container, should be taken to a warmer location in the winter months. If it isn’t exposed to frost, it will retain its foliage year-round. Your Passiflora will thrive in a spot that benefits from full sun or partial shade. If the flowers fail to open, this usually indicates that the plant is not getting a sufficient amount of light.
• It’s quite tolerant of most soil types that are moist, well-drained and fertile, with emphasis on good drainage. Water your Passiflora infrequently, but deeply. This is to encourage the plant to grow a strong root structure, reaching deep for moisture. Make sure that the soil exhibits visual dryness between waterings. We recommend that you fertilise your Passiflora with slow-release bloom booster fertilizer. Beware of fertilizers abundant in nitrogens, as they can reduce the flowering.

This attractive looking Passiflora hybrid, Anastasia, bears unique, vibrantly pink flowers adorned by a deep red corona with slender, white-tipped terminals. Acting as a direct contrast, the dark green foliage makes the gorgeous red hues stand out.

Its climbing habit makes it a fantastic choice for trellises, walls and fences, as well as hanging baskets. You can expect to see an abundance of eye-catching blooms for the majority of the year, from spring to fall.
