Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Clump-forming evergreen perennial grass with long, arching black leaves and small purple-white flowers.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.1 – 0.5m.
Flourishing Season: Spikes of small, purple-flushed white flowers throughout Summer followed by small blue-black berries in Autumn.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Keep in full or partial sun. Protect with shelter and mulch during winter.
Ophiopogon ‘Black Beard’, occasionally known as Black Mondo, is a vigorous, tufted perennial grass with long, narrow, arching leaves of stunning deep black which create a beautiful contrast with the bright, purple-flushed white flowers that appear on stems above the foliage in the Summer. The flowers fruit into dark blue, almost black berries in the Autumn months.
Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Prefers slight acidic soils. Keep in full or partial sun. A hardy grass that will grow well in sheltered or exposed positions and should handle all but the harshest Winter weather.
