Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Clump-forming grass with long, narrow, arching green leaves turning to orange and panicles of red to pink flowers in Autumn.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height of 1 – 1.5m and spread of 0.5 – 1m.
Period of Interest: Summer and Autumn interest. Copper orange foliage and loose panicles of tiny, red flowers ageing to pink and silver in the Autumn and early Winter.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun. Susceptible to waterlogging, especially in Winter.
A colourful and hardy grass that is sure to bring some excitement to your garden displays. The Miscanthus ‘Ferner Osten’, or Japanese Silver Grass, is a clump-forming shrub with long, arching green leaves which turn to a dull copper-orange as the seasons progress to Autumn. Feathery masses of tiny, deep red flowers appear around that period, fading to pink and silver towards the beginning of Winter. A great choice for rockeries or herbaceous borders.
Plant in moist, moderately fertile, well-drained soil and keep in full sun. Hardy and tolerant of most positions, exposed or sheltered, but is susceptible to waterlogging, especially during the Winter
