Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Deciduous perennial, clumps of narrow grass-like foliage. Deep red stalks produce cinnamon coloured flowers.
Height & Spread: Grows to around 0.6m tall, spreads to roughly 0.5m wide
Period of Interest: Summer and Autumn interest. Dark green narrow, strap-like foliage beneath long stems carrying clusters of striking red flower spikes which appear from late Summer through to Autumn.
Plant Advice: Plant in moist, well-drained, humus-rich soil. Keep in full sun. Avoid waterlogged, heavy soil which may cause root damage in Winter.
Kniphofia 'Red Hot Popsicle' is a compact deciduous perennial shrub with clumps of grassy foliage and attractive colourful flowers. The grass-like leaves are dark green, and deep red stems poke above the foliage to produce an abundance of cinnamon coloured flower spikes in late summer. Known more commonly as "Red Hot Poker", this plant is ideal for gardens that already have warm-looking colours, or it can provide an interesting contrast in a garden border with other colours.
This plant prefers a fully sunny position in the garden, it can also be planted in almost any type of soil provided it is well-drained.
