Characteristics: Hosta Purple Heart is a deciduous perennial plant that displays a vibrant shade of green through its leaves, which are held up by a dark shaded stem. This feature then fades up into the bottom section of the foliage. In late Summer, this Hosta will bloom through gorgeous lavender coloured flowers. Due to the plants deciduous nature, it will lose its leaves later in the year, before returning with fresh new foliage in Spring.
Plant Advice: Hosta should be planted in moist, well-drained soil and kept in full sun. Keep to a reasonable level of watering during their first growing season especially, although, do not give it a 'little but often' approach as this will be detrimental to longer term progression.
