Characteristics: Compact, clump-forming herbaceous perennial shrub with long, narrow, mid-green leaves and tall stems carrying coral-pink flowers in Autumn.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.1 – 0.5m.
Period of Interest: Year-round interest. Cup-shaped to star-shaped, rich coral pink flowers blooming in the Autumn months.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun in a sheltered position to protect from cold winds. Winter frost protection is recommended in colder regions.
A hardy, semi-evergreen perennial shrub with bright, richly coloured, late blooming flowers and clumping foliage beneath. The Hesperantha ‘Oregon Sunset’, commonly known as Kaffir Lily, is compact but vigorous grower with mounds of narrow, arching, lance-shaped, mid-green foliage beneath tall, slender stems which carry slightly nodding panicles of cup-shaped to star-shaped flowers of bright coral-pink which bloom in the Autumn months.
Plant in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soils and keep in full sun in a sheltered position to protect from cold, drying winds. Mulch for protection from Winter frosts. Semi-evergreen so may lose its leaves in regions with harsh Winters but retain them in milder locations.
