Characteristics: A small bushy herb plant, with distinctive bright yellow foliage and a delicate lemon scent. The beautifully aromatic leaves are edible and versatile in culinary use, making the plant perfect for a kitchen herb garden. Thyme Golden is a bright and beautiful culinary herb plant, with striking bright yellow foliage which exudes an exquisite lemon scent. In summer, spikes of tiny lilac flowers bloom, creating a stunning display of summer colour.
Plant Thyme Golden in moist, well-drained chalky, loamy or sandy soil in full sun. It’s an excellent option for planting in rock or gravel gardens thanks to its spreading habit, although it will still grow well in patio containers and pots. Like other varieties of thyme, it’s also great for culinary use, in particular for adding flavour to fish and chicken dishes.
