Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Dense evergreen shrub with small, pointed, dark green leaves tiny white flowers followed from Spring.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.5 – 1m.
Period of Interest: Year-round foliage interest. Masses of tiny, drooping, bell-shaped white flowers from Spring to Summer.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Keep in partial or full shade. Tolerates full sun if soil moisture is maintained. Pollinator for female varieties.
A hardy, evergreen shrub that will grow and spread easily through a suckering habit. The Gaultheria mucronate ‘Mascula’ is the Male form of this variety and is used as a pollinator for female varieties to produce red, pink or white berries on them after flowering, depending on the variety. The ‘Mascula’ carries leathery, pointed, dark green foliage on upright, red stems. Loose clusters of nodding, bell-shaped white flowers appear from late Spring into Summer.
Plant in moist, well-drained, neutral to acidic soils and keep in partially or fully shaded positions. Tolerant of full sun if soil moisture is constantly maintained. Pollinator for female varieties of the species.
