Fuchsia ‘Cloverdale Pearl’ are small, compact deciduous shrubs that bloom beautiful white and pink hanging flowers, from spring until autumn. These hardy Fuchsia are known for the striking flower colours as seen in their white short tubes, attractive pink sepals and white corollas.
Cloverdale Pearl bears mid-green, toothed leaves that create a pleasing contrast for the delicate creamy white and pink single flowers. This passion of blooming flowers for long seasons is loved by bees and hummingbirds.
Fuchsia will thrive in full sunlight in colder regions and partial shade in hotter ones. They need protection against cold dry winds, so plant them best at a sheltered spot in well-drained moist soil. These plants are not tolerant to drought, so regular watering is required in dry seasons.
In winters, they will need a layer of mulch to shelter the base from frost. Prune Fuchsia in spring to remove any damaged or weak stems. Adding a general-purpose fertilizer will help the young plants establish their root system.
Fuchsia Cloverdale Pearl puts on a show of such impressive colours, that will turn a boring patio into a blissful one. It is perfect for low-hedging or bedding schemes.
Use them in borders and watch how beautiful hummingbirds relish the nectar of their dazzling flowers with pleasure.
