Characteristics: Hardy, evergreen shrub with an array of silvery-blue, rounded foliage and a bushy habit. As it grows older, the leaves will gain more of a green tone, whilst also producing fluffy, white flowers in Summer that have a gorgeous fragrance.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height of 8 - 12m and an ultimate spread of 2.5 - 4m.
Period of Interest: Evergreen, silvery-blue foliage provides year-round interest. White, fluffy flowers will appear from mid-to late Summer and produce a lovely fragrance.
Water & Maintenance: Plant this Eucalyptus in an area of full sunlight. Its soil should be fertile, moist and well-drained. It should be watered regularly until fully established, then they will become relatively drought tolerant, requiring less attention.
Eucalyptus gunnii Silverana, commonly known as Cider Gum, is a gorgeous, evergreen shrub. It will easily fill an area of the garden that requires a neat addition, and will also look great within any plant displays or flower arrangements. Their rounded foliage is filled with a silvery-blue colour, before gaining more of a green tone as it grows older. Its foliage brings year-round interest, as well as producing fragrant, fluffy white flowers from mid-to late Summer.
This Eucalyptus should be exposed to full sunlight. It will appreciate its soil being fertile, moist and well-drained so it can thrive well. Regular watering is necessary until it is fully established. It will then become relatively drought tolerant and require less consistent attention.
