Characteristics: Compact herbaceous perennial shrub with narrow, dark green foliage and stems carrying flowers with hues of pink and cream and large rounded centres.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.1 – 0.5m.
Period of Interest: Summer and Autumn interest. Strong stems bearing flowers with many narrow petals around a central cone in shades of pink and cream which shift as the months progress.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Keep in full or partial sun. Avoid transplanting often as the roots are slow to establish after movement.
A variety of coneflower with bright Summer colours and beautiful, profuse blooms. The Echinacea ‘Sunseekers Salmon’ is a rather compact herbaceous perennial shrub with narrow, deep dark green leaves and stems bearing large semi-double flowers with many narrow petals of pink and yellow-cream shades which surround a large, rounded red centre cone. These blooms are long lasting, appearing from the start of Summer through to the Autumn.
Plant in humus-rich, fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full sun. Tolerant of partial sun. Gradually move them outside for transplanting to the desired location as these plants dislike being uproot and will take a while to re-establish roots and begin to grow.
