Characteristics: Deciduous perennial with attractive orange-yellow flowerheads that grow from green stems.
Growth and Spread: Grows to around 0.5m tall, spreading to roughly 1m wide.
Period of Interest: Begins to flower in early May, with these blooms lasting until late August.
Water and Maintenance: Requires protection from frost. Dead foliage should be removed in Autumn and should be watered once a week, keeping the soil moist.
Crocosmia Orange Pekoe is a deciduous, perennial plant that bears a striking array of colour through its Summer blooms. Beginning in May and carrying through into August, this plants bright and vivacious yellow and orange tones are an eye-catching addition for the garden. They grow off of long, dark green stems which ensure a great balance is met between light and dark colours. This Crocosmia is ideal for pots, containers, beds, borders and more and should be planted in moist, well drained soil. Regular, once-a-week watering will be necessary, along with frost protection and removing dead foliage when Autumn comes around. Finally, the plant will benefit from being placed in full sunlight as it will maintain the vibrant colour and appearance.
