• Characteristics: Deciduous perennial with large purple/blue flowers, with broad raspberry stripes on each petal. It is long lasting and grows flowers twice yearly.
• Growth and Spread: Will reach an ultimate height of 2 to 2.5 meters and spread of 1.5 meters.
• Period of Interest: This perennial will flower twice a year, between Spring and Autumn. The foliage will die back in late Autumn
• Plant Advice: Grows best in partial sun or shade. The perennial enjoys rich, fertile, well drained soil.

This beautiful Clematis Climber, originally founded by Nelly Thompson stands out for its large, purple flowers with deep red stripes. The flowers appear twice a year, usually between spring and autumn. The flowers grow exceptionally tall and enjoy like all clematis, covering a trellis or climbing through a neighbouring tree. This clematis likes sun but with its roots in the shade.

This gorgeous perennial enjoys partial sun or shade and thrives in any soil, as long as it's fertile and well drained. Train the stems so that they're evenly spaced on their support to encourage blooms to cover the whole plant and fill any gaps.
