Characteristics: An attractive climber with dark green leaves and double blooming violet flowers.
Growth and spread: Can grow to an ultimate height of 1.5-2.5m and an ultimate spread of 0.5-1m.
Period of interest: Green leaves are accompanied by double violet blooms from late spring until early summer, and then single flowers from late summer into autumn.
Water and maintenance: Will tolerate most soil types but should be moist but well-drained. Plant in full sun or partial shade, keeping the roots in shade.
Clematis ‘Blue Light’ is an alluring deciduous perennial climber. Emerald leaves are accompanied in Spring by pale blue, rosette like double blooms. From late summer into autumn, single flowers will continue to bloom. The plant is deciduous and so it will lose its green leaves in autumn, ready for fresh new foliage each spring, when it will once again produce a profusion of blooms all the way through until autumn.
Growing to an ultimate height of 1.5-2.5m an dan ultimate spread of 0.5-1m, Clematis ‘Blue Angel’ is perfect for trellises, wall sides, arches and pergolas. This hardy plant will continue to provide a stunning show of flowers year after year from May all the way until September.
