  • Sow: Sow from April to July. To grow perfectly straight carrots, make a deep narrow hole, fill with stone free compost and sow the seeds on top.
  • Plant: Plant in full sun in a stone-free, fertile, moisture retentive soil. Carrots require deep soil, as their roots grow downwards.
  • Harvest: Harvest from June to November. Harvest around 12 weeks after sowing date. Roots can be stored in sand, where they will be kept well for up to 4 months.

Carrot Early Nantes is a popular, easy-to-grow variety of carrot, and is well-suited to successional sowing. The variety produces blunt, cylindrical, bright orange roots with an average length of around 15cm. The vegetables have little-to-no core and boast a fresh, sweet flavour.
