Characteristics: Vigorous, deciduous shrub with upright, thornless canes carrying toothed, mid-green foliage and pink-white flowers from early Summer followed by glossy blackberries.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 1 – 2m.
Period of Interest: Spring and Summer interest. 5-petalled rose-like flowers of pink-white blooming from late Spring into the Summer, followed by heavy yield of juicy, sharp and sweet blackberries in mid-Summer.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained, fertile soil. Keep in full or partial sun. Water regularly until established. Avoiding waterlogging. May require supports.
An upright-to-arching variety of thornless blackberry bush with a good mid-season crop. The Rubus ‘Triple Crown’ is a hardy deciduous shrub with thornless canes which carry palmate, toothed mid-green foliage and lovely white flowers from late Spring, followed by a heavy crop of dark red to black glossy blackberries which are ready for picking around mid-Summer.
Plant in moist, well-drained, slightly acidic soil and keep in full or partial sun in a sheltered position. Water regularly until properly established but avoid waterlogging. Some longer canes may require supports. Heat tolerant. Tolerates some shade but best yield is produced under full sun.
