Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Compact, bushy semi-evergreen perennial shrub with hairy stems and foliage. Pale pink to purple flowers blooming from Summer.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.5 – 1m.
Period of Interest: Summer and Autumn interest. Pale pink blooms similar to Hibiscus with deep pink veins on each petal appearing from Summer to Autumn.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained soils. Keep in full sun in a sheltered position. Grows best under glass in colder regions. Susceptible to cold and frost which may cause dieback.
A lovely and compact deciduous to semi-evergreen sub-shrub sometimes known as Cape Mallow or African Mallow is a somewhat tender plant with hairy, lobed, incised green foliage and small to medium, pale pink flowers appearing from Summer through to Autumn. The flowers resemble Hibiscus with rich pink veining on each of the slightly overlapping petals. The flowers appear throughout the foliage as single blooms or loose panicles.
Plant in moist, well-drained soils and keep in full sun in a sheltered position or indoors under glass. A native of the warmer climes of Southern Africa, this plant is treated as more of a perennial in colder regions. Cold and frost may shorten its life if not cared for correctly.
