Characteristics: Clump-forming, upright perennial shrub with narrow, grass-like, scented green foliage and stems carrying tiny pink flowers.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.1 Ð 0.5m.
Period of Interest: Summer interest. Scented foliage and stems carrying rounded clusters of tiny purple-pink flowers from mid to late Summer.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun in any position. Leaves will mostly die back before flowering. Avoid overwatering after flowering period.
A late flowering plant with scented, clumping foliage giving way to upright stalks carrying colourful blooms. The Allium ÔMillenniumÕ is a low maintenance perennial with long, glossy, grass-like foliage emitting a faint onion scent before dying back and giving way to strong, upright stems bearing rounded panicles of tiny, rose-pink flowers from mid to late Summer. A great choice for cut flowers or for use as small container plants.
Plant in moderately fertile, well-drained soils and keep in full sun in any position. Requires some watering before and during the Summer flowering period but avoid overwatering afterwards as this may damage the plant. Drought tolerant once established.
