Characteristics: Bushy evergreen perennial shrub with glossy, narrow, strap-like mid-green leaves and violet-blue flowers in Summer.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height of 0.5 – 1m and spread of 0.1 – 0.5m.
Period of Interest: Year-round foliage interest. Loose panicles of drooping, funnel-shaped, soft violet-blue flowers throughout the Summer.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun in a sheltered position. If the area experiences harsh Winters, then this is more suited as pot grown and kept under glass in Winter.
A more compact evergreen perennial shrub with soft colours and easy to manage growth. The Agapanthus ‘Blue Storm’ also known as the African Lily is a clump-forming plant with upright, erect stems carrying glossy, strap-shaped, mid to dark green leaves and umbels of trumpet-shaped, violet blue flowers throughout the Summer months with an occasional second flowering in the Autumn.
Plant in moist, well-drained soils and keep in full sun in a sheltered position. A tender cultivar that must be cared for under glass in harsher Winter. It is recommended to keep it pot grown and moved under glass during the Winter months. Winter protection required in milder areas if kept outdoors.
