Care and Maintenance: Agapanthus Arctic Star prefers a sheltered sunny spot in moist but well drained soil. If placed in an exposed area, provide mulch cover over the winter or grow in a container to move inside in autumn. Remaining leaves should be removed in late autumn but seed heads can be left until the first frost. Divide in spring every three or four years for effective propagation.

Agapanthus Arctic Star is a deciduous perennial commonly known as African Lily. With its strap shaped leaves in grey green and contrasting white trumpet shaped flowers, this is a versatile plant that works equally well in flower beds and containers.

Flowers bloom in mid to late summer appearing in clusters with trumpet shaped heads. Its pure white hue contrasts beautifully with the grey green foliage. As the flowers begin to fade, seed heads appear. These can be left to provide interest over the cooler months.

With a maximum height and spread of 1m, Agapanthus Arctic Star is ideal for flower beds, borders and containers. The plant will reach is full maturity and growth within around 2-5 years. It is relatively hardy and the foliage mound retains its appeal even when not in bloom.
