Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: An exotic species with beautiful dark red foliage.
Growth & Spread: Can grow rapidly. Depending on weather and planting conditions can grow from a 1 m height x 1 m spread, or if in optimum conditions can reach a 6 m height by a 3 m spread.
Flourishing Season: Has an average to fast growing rate and will flower in July to August.
Water & Maintenance: Requires regular watering due to preferred full sun exposure. Little maintenance, just remove dead leaves from the underside.
This exotic evergreen tree maintains a deep red hue in its leaves. There is a variety which is also green in colour. It is a remarkable plant to enjoy as an accent piece in your garden. The flowers bloom along a long stalk and have a very pleasant odor which attracts birds and butterflies.
The Cordyline “Red Star” will grow rapidly in warmer conditions and climates. However, in a cooler climate, this subtropical species will most likely stay within a meter height by a meter spread.
Some people start with this variety in a pot. However, the growth will most likely continue and make it necessary to transfer to a protected area of your garden.
It prefers full sun, but can tolerate partial shade, although this may diminish its stunning deep-red colour. It is a hardy variety which can adapt to most areas, except for extreme low temperatures. With that being said, providing protection during the winter months and then removing dead leaves after winter and the Cordyline “Red Star” will most likely spring back to life in the springtime.

Nice plant!
Received this plant quickly and in very good condition. Well packed and looked very healthy. Not big but a very good root system so now repotted, will grow brilliantly. Can recommend plant and seller!
