Product description

Known commonly as St. Johns Wort, Hypericum 'Magical White' is a deciduous or semi-evergeen upright shrub with large dark green ovate leaves that produce an aroma when crushed. This variety develops contrasting red stems which produce, at their tips, clusters of greenish-yellow star-shaped flowers, these flowers start blooming from mid-summer and are followed in autumn by luminous white berries.

Magical White' is a variety that provides interest for multiple seasons, being hardy and easy to grow, this shrub provides long lasting colour for your garden. A plant like this prefers full sunlight but will do just as well in partially shaded areas of your garden, place in moist well-drained soil for best results.

Instructions

Top Tip

Prune Hypericum in early spring to remove dead or damaged growth and encourage a dense, bushy shape.

How to Water

Water Hypericum deeply, keeping the soil consistently moist during the growing season. Once established, it is somewhat drought-tolerant but benefits from regular watering during dry spells.

How to Plant

Plant Hypericum in well-draining soil with full to partial sun. Space the plants 45-60cm apart. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball, place the plant, and backfill with soil. Water thoroughly after planting.
