Product description
The Chilli Fresno plant is an annual chilli pepper plant. Green, lance-shaped leaves are accompanied in early summer by small, white flowers which will then become green fruits, ripening to orange, and eventually red. The peppers are tapered and glossy, with a similar appearance to jalapenos, although they are spicier.
Plant your Chilli Fresno plant in moist, well-drained soil, such as loam or sand, and ideally in full sun where it will thrive. It will produce high yields of medium-sized peppers, which should be harvested regularly to continue fruit production throughout summer. The longer harvest is delayed, the hotter the peppers will be. They are best eaten fresh and are particularly ideal for adding some heat to salads and salsas.

Top Tip
For a larger harvest, pick the chillies when they are still green and allow them to ripen further in the kitchen.
How to Water
Water regularly to keep the soil consistently moist, particularly during dry spells.
How to Plant
Choose a warm, sheltered spot to plant chillis in moist, well-draining soil where they can enjoy full sun conditions. Dig in plenty of garden compost, place the plants in the hole and backfill so they are planted to the same level as they were in the pot. Firm down gently and water in well. Leave 30-45cm between plants.
