Product description
Hebe ‘Red Edge’ is a variety of the popular New Zealand breed. A compact, evergreen shrub with thick, blue-grey leaves which are margined with red, especially during the Winter months when the colours really shine. In the Summer clusters of small, purple-blue flowers appear atop the stems, fading to white as they mature. ‘Red Edge’ can be used for naturalising garden displays and works well as low informal hedging, edging, borders, or as a pot or container plant.
Generally, a low maintenance plant. Grow in moist, well-drained soil and keep in full to partial sun. Tolerant of coastal salty air but will require protection from frosts and high winds in the Winter months.

Instructions
Top Tip
Prune lightly after flowering to encourage bushy growth and maintain the plant’s shape. Avoid heavy pruning, as Hebes may struggle to regrow from older wood.
How to Water
Water Hebe thoroughly after planting, then keep the soil evenly moist during the first season. Once established, they are drought-tolerant and require only occasional watering during dry periods.
How to Plant
Plant Hebe in well-draining soil in a sunny or lightly shaded spot, sheltered from strong winds. Dig a hole twice the width of the root ball, place the plant at the same depth it was in its pot, and backfill with soil. Space plants 60-90cm apart for full growth.
