Product description
Acorus Gramineus 'Golden Delight' is a semi-evergreen, low growing grass-like perennial with arching, aromatic, golden-yellow to yellow-green leaves. Tiny, insignificant spikes of yellow-green flowers are produced amongst the foliage in spring, followed by fleshy fruit. This striking ornamental grass is also known as Sweet Flag or Japanese Rush and looks great planted around a pond edge or for helping to brighten up boggy regions of the garden where little else will grow.
Plant in wet or very moist, fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil. It can be grown partially submerged in the water and planted in aquatic baskets to minimise root disturbance. Comb through the plant in winter to remove dead foliage. Feed with a general purpose fertiliser during the growing season and if necessary. Divide over-large clumps in early spring.

Depending on seasonality, deciduous plants may be supplied in their dormant state and without leaves. Plants may also be pruned back, lower than stated heights, to encourage new growth

Propagating every 2-3 years helps prevent congestion and gives Acorus room to grow. Divide in spring, replanting as soon as possible and watering in well.
How to Water
Water frequently, ensuring the soil stays wet or damp and never dries out.
How to Plant
Acorus plants flourish in poorly drained, wet soils and are ideal for planting in boggy areas or around ponds. Choose a bright, sunny spot and leave 30-90cm between plants.
