Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Compact, clump-forming herbaceous perennial shrub with lobed, mid-green leaves bearing purple central markings. Conical spikes of fragrant pink and white flowers from late Spring.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.1 – 0.5m.
Period of Interest: Spring to Autumn foliage interest. Conical flower spikes appearing on stems above the foliage carrying clusters of small, scented pink to white blooms from late Spring to Summer.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil. Keep in partial Sun or full shade. Keep cool with regular watering in Summer. Avoid waterlogging in Winter.
A compact herbaceous perennial shrub noted for its large and distinctive foliage, the Tiarella ‘Sugar and Spice’ is a great option for low growing shrub beds, woodland garden displays or groundcover. The leaves are glossy, deeply lobed or cut and carry dark purple blotches along the central veins. In Spring stems appear above the foliage carrying conical clusters of lightly scented pink and white flowers from late Spring through to Summer.
Plant in cool, moist, humus-rich, well-drained soils and keep in partial sun or full shade. Leaf colour dependent on exposure to sunlight. Keep soil cool through regular watering in warmer periods. Avoid waterlogging, especially during Winter. Requires a sheltered position and protection from cold and frost.
