Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Hardy evergreen perennial succulent consisting of mats of fleshy-leaved rosettes of apple-green with dark purple tips.
Growth & Spread: Ultimate height and spread of 0.1 – 0.5m.
Period of Interest: Year-round foliage interest. Waxy, fleshy bright green leaves making up a large central rosette with smaller offshoots of similar shape but smaller size. Insignificant flowering.
Water & Maintenance: Plant in moderately fertile, well-drained soil. Keep in full sun. Hardy and tolerant of most soil types and conditions. Drought resistant. Protect from waterlogging and excessive Winter wet.
A very hardy evergreen succulent with a compact, mat-forming habit, the Sempervivum ‘Appletini’ from Chick Charms® also known as ‘Hens & Chicks’, consists of small, rounded rosette shapes of waxy, fleshy, light green leaves with deep purple-black tips throughout the year. They are a highly resilient variety and will thrive in almost any location no matter the season. A great option for rockeries or areas with generally poor-quality soil.
Plant in moderately fertile, well-drained soil and keep in full sun in a sheltered or exposed position. Tolerates most locations, conditions and soil types. Prefers gritty, free draining soil mixes. Highly drought resistant. Susceptible to Winter wet and waterlogged areas.
