April normally signals the end of spring and is often associated with plenty of planting and seed sowing. As a result, there are an absolute abundance of seeds to sow in April including nicotiana, cosmos, poppies and lagurus. April is also prime time for planting many veggies (especially root vegetables) including lettuces, beets, carrots, turnips, parsnips and chard. That means that this April you have no excuse not to get out into the garden and get sowing some wonderful seeds. When sowing seeds in April, remember the month can be a little wetter than expected so avoid over watering your plants.
