In the UK, we most like to eat sweetcorn removed from the cob and served as a side accompaniment or grilled on the cob and slathered in butter. Growing sweetcorn is a bit more challenging as the corn plants can grow quite sizable and it isn't always best to grow in small gardens or allotments, especially if space is a concern. The germinated sweetcorn seeds should be planted in a grid shape, rather than in a row. Sweetcorn seeds can be a very rewarding thing to plant however, because once fully grown, it is very satisfying to look at the corn you harvest - and even more satisfying to eat.
