Peppers can be used in all manner of ways when it comes to cooking, sometimes serving as an accompaniment and other times as the main attraction e.g. stuffed peppers. Either way, the culinary outcome is amazing and pepper vegetables lend a wonderful and often spicy little kick to dishes. Planting and growing pepper seeds in the UK is a little trickier than most vegetables as they prefer warmer climates. For this reason, it is advised to grow pepper seeds in a greenhouse, or if you're in the south east, you may get away with planting them outdoors in a very sunny spot of the garden. Some gardeners grow peppers indoors, but again the crucial element is plenty of warm direct sunlight for your pepper seeds to germinate.
