Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: Deciduous or semi-evergreen. Produces clusters of yellow star-shaped flowers, followed by large red berries in autumn.
Height & Spread: Grows to around 0.5m tall, spreads to roughly 0.5m wide
Period of Interest: Summer and Autumn interest. Dark green foliage with hints of red and star-shaped yellow-orange flowers in Summer followed by small, red-bronze berries in the Autumn.
Plant Advice: Plant in moist, well-drained soil. Keep in full or partial sun in a sheltered position. A great attractor of bees and other pollinators.
Hypericum 'Magical Universe' is an attractive deciduous or semi-evergreen bushy shrub with long ovate deep green leaves that produces an aroma when crushed. In spring, long red stems begin producing yellow flower heads that bloom into gorgeous star-shaped flowers, each flower is accompanied by a prominent tuft of golden stamens. Later in the year, the flowers are followed by large elongated red berries, providing a nice contrast with the green leaves and yellow flowers.
Commonly known as St. Johns Wort, this variety is compact and low growing, making it ideal for a border, rock garden or as an attractive hedge. This plant loved sunlight, so place in an area that gets plenty of light or partial shade, it can be planted in any soil so long as it is moist and well drained. The flowers can also be cut when mature and look great as part of a display or bouquet.
