aquilegia-mckana-hybrids
Aquilegia 'McKana Hybrids'

Grown from a highly energetic, varied genetic strain, this robust group produces exceptionally large, long-spurred blooms in a completely unpredictable, wildly varied spectrum of pastels, brights, and bi-colours. It is the ultimate choice for those who embrace a slightly wilder, less structured, and highly informal cottage aesthetic, offering unparalleled variety and massive, dramatic flowers. It is a vigorous, reliable performer that adapts well to mixed borders and dappled woodland edges.

This is a mixed strain, you should allow the plants to self-seed and cross-pollinate freely in the garden to see what new colour combinations arise naturally. However, to curate your patch and keep the display looking vibrant, you must ruthlessly weed out and discard any resulting volunteer seedlings that happen to bloom in muddy, washed-out, or undesirable colours. To keep the parent plants vigorous and healthy, plan to dig up and divide the established clumps in early spring, just before the active growth cycle kicks into high gear.

Please Note: When purchasing plants, please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. The plant will be supplied in a growers pot. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0862/7827/5406/files/00_GardenersDream_Aquilegia_McKana_Hybrids.jpg?v=1792153462
