Product Description
Rootgrow Mycorrhizal Fungi is an essential product that helps establish your plants, made with mycorrhizal fungi, a micro-organism with which trees have had a symbiotic relationship for millions of years. Once your plants are in the ground, it will develop a highly-active secondary root system, with the explicit purpose of exponentially increasing the uptake of water and nutrients, everything needed in order to allow your plants to flourish.
Characteristics: A compact, deciduous shrub with dark-green pinnate leaves and depending on exposure to sun, vibrant pink to pale-pink flowers.
Growth & Spread: A slow to medium rate grower. Heights and spreads of approximately equal dimensions from 0.5 to 1.2 m.
Flourishing Season: A lengthy flowering season from June through October.
Water & Maintenance: Water until established. Does best in moist and well-drained soil. Overall, a low maintenance plant.
“Princess” is a compact, deciduous shrub with a bushy to spreading habit. It has small, dark-green pinnate leaves which are approximately 2 to 4 cm in length.
Generally, prefers partially shaded areas in order to produce more pink hues in its five-petaled flowers. In full sun, the pink colour will be less apparent, leaving a whiter flower with the normal golden orange centre.
Remove dead or unwanted branches at the end of the season or at the onset of spring. This plant does well in most soil types, as long as the soil remains moist.
Although it is deciduous, it is full hardy and can withstand the temperatures in all of the UK.
While it can tolerate a variety of soil types and full sun to partial shade, several suggested uses include: flower borders where its beautiful blooms can stand out; use as a compact ground cover due to its dense foliage; or in more rustic settings, it works great in coastal areas, as well as informal gardens around a cottage.
