Characteristics: A beautiful deciduous perennial with narrow, bright green leaves and soft, white flowers with lilac edges.
Growth and spread: Can reach an ultimate height of 0.5m and an ultimate spread of 0.45m.
Care and Maintenance: Plant in moist, well-drained soil and plant in full sun where this plant will thrive best, watering occasionally.
Period of interest: Deciduous leaves will fall in autumn and return in spring. From early summer until autumn, foliage will be accompanied by clusters of bell-shaped white and lilac blooms.
Penstemon Harlequin Lilac is a charming perennial which would look perfect in any garden. Vibrant,narrow, green leaves accompany clusters of soft, white, bell-shaped flowers which are tinged around the edges with delicate violet. It has a long flowering period so you can enjoy these stunning blooms from early summer all the way until autumn.
Plant Penstemon Harlequin Lilac in moist, well-drained soil, ideally in full sun where it will thrive best. Make sure to water it occasionally and your plant could continue to flower right up until the first frost. This plant is also an excellent option if you’d like to welcome more bees and other pollinating insects to your garden.
